OPERATING SCENARIO
High-airflow, humid fermentation exhaust
Ducted discharge treatment · Biopharmaceuticals
- Reference airflow
- 100,000–140,000 m³/h
- Characteristics
- Near-ambient exhaust with near-saturated humidity and low VOC concentrations but noticeable odors; batch operation changes the load.
- Existing issues
- Humidity can reduce adsorption life and stability. Additional equipment alone does not address catalyst moisture or condensation.
- Engineering challenges
- Control humidity, pressure drop, ozone dosing and energy at large airflows; interlock operation with fan status.
- Treatment route
- Central capture → Dry filtration → Heating and dehumidification → RAO ozone catalytic oxidation → Variable-speed fan → Stack
- Engineering notes
- Commission ozone dosing gradually using inlet loads, outlet measurements and residual ozone. Avoid relying on constant full-load dosing.
