OPERATING SCENARIO

Humid petrochemical wastewater odors

Ducted discharge treatment · Petrochemicals / wastewater

Reference airflow
30,000–50,000 m³/h
Characteristics
Near-saturated air containing sulfur, nitrogen, acid gases, low-concentration organics and oily components.
Existing issues
Single-stage washing may not cover acidic, alkaline and poorly absorbed organic odors. Humidity and droplets also affect downstream catalytic units.
Engineering challenges
Compounds may react with each other and loads vary with incoming water and sludge treatment. Staged control and protection of the catalyst bed are needed.
Treatment route
JETA acid wash → JETA alkaline wash → RAO ozone catalytic oxidation → Final JETA alkaline wash → Fan → Stack
Engineering notes
Control each circulation loop separately, provide mist removal and humidity control before RAO, and allow residual ozone monitoring at the outlet.
