OPERATING SCENARIO
Low-load, multi-line plastics processing
Workshop / source capture · Plastics processing
- Reference airflow
- Approximately 800–1,200 m³/h per unit
- Characteristics
- PP, PE and ABS extrusion and pelletizing generate VOCs, oil mist, particles and additive odors, with frequent line starts and stops.
- Existing issues
- Central systems maintain large airflows even at low utilization, while activated carbon is exposed to oil mist and variable loads.
- Engineering challenges
- Coordinate movable units, flexible capture points, production interlocks and reuse of the existing central exhaust system.
- Treatment route
- Flexible source capture → Two-stage local JETA treatment → Mist removal → Corrosion-resistant variable-speed fan → Existing clean-exhaust header
- Engineering notes
- Retain the central system as backup or supplementary treatment. For poorly absorbed ABS-related compounds, configure downstream adsorption based on validation.
