Core technology

JETA

High-intensity foam scrubbing — Absorption, chemical reaction and capture of oil mist and particles take place in a dynamic foam mass-transfer zone.

JETA

Applicable conditions

  • Acidic or alkaline gases
  • Water-soluble odors
  • Oil mist, droplets and some dust
  • Pretreatment to protect downstream RAO equipment

Operating limits

The liquid chemistry, materials, stages and dosing must match the pollutants. Poorly soluble, non-reactive, low-concentration VOCs should not rely on scrubbing alone.

System combinations

Install before RAO to control oil mist, particles and water-soluble components, or after RAO to absorb polar oxidation intermediates.

PROCESS & OPERATION

Intensive contact in a dynamic foam zone.

JETA combines counter-current gas–liquid contact, absorption, reaction and capture of some droplets and particles. Single- or two-stage layouts and circulation liquids are configured around the target compounds.

  1. 01

    Gas–liquid contact

Exhaust meets the liquid jet in a turbulent reaction zone.

  2. 02

    Foam mass transfer

Droplet breakup and surface renewal promote contact for absorption and reaction.

  3. 03

    Liquid circulation

Select the liquid chemistry, dosing, make-up water and blowdown strategy.

  4. 04

    Mist separation

Remove entrained droplets before downstream treatment or exhaust discharge.

Liquid management

Select acidic, alkaline or other suitable reaction liquids; track concentration, pH and replacement intervals.

Construction materials

Evaluate PP, FRP or stainless steel against temperature, corrosion and chemical compatibility.

Staging and protection

Use separate stages for mixed compounds and define inlet conditions for downstream equipment.
